PSL, again, sides with US intel agencies

Oh, boy.

I guess I'll need to update my piece from February, 2022.

"Like the other three indictments, the facts of this case are clear. The effort to overturn the 2020 election result was carried out in plain sight. Trump and his allies concocted a fake story about massive fraud swaying the race in Biden’s favor, and then sought to pressure officials who had a role in the counting and certification of the vote total. This plot had an obviously racist character, focusing on predominantly Black parts of the state and attempting to disqualify large numbers of votes. A particularly disgusting element was the targeting of two Black women who were involved in routine ballot counting in Atlanta, exposing them to vile harassment and death threats."

The "facts of the case" are that a candidate raised a claim of illegality that went to the heart of the legitimacy of the election.

One such allegation - that the changes in laws and regs which enabled the widespread use of mail-in ballots where they were not legally permitted before and which ballots "in plain sight" changed the outcome of the election in PA, GA, WI, MI, AZ and NV were done in violation of US Constitution Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 and, thus, should be disallowed - more than raises sufficient doubt to render the balance of the claim quoted, to be kind, as a pile of stinking bullshit.

Another - that the claim that two public officials were corrupt and acting in a partisan manner in the performance of their duties - is neither racist nor illegal. Rather, the recent decision by the Court to find for these two government employees in a defamation suit against someone who accused them of counting fraudulent ballots which altered the outcome of Georgia's presidential election is a frightening development where it becomes, literally, illegal to criticize a public official.

I have been watching PSL's positions on the various public controversies here that in perfect sync with the CIA, FBI, et al positions, to wit:

Brexit was a right wing phenomenon.

Trump supporters were fascist dupes.

January 6 was a flareup of white supremacy.

The truckers who were in rebellion against mandates - and a host of other concerns dealing with their material conditions, BTW - were supporters of a "reactionary movement" and, thus, should be opposed.

The latest is just another in a long line of positions that previously had me ask about the "analysis" underlying each of these claims:

Is this error, or something else?
