YouTube censorship of discussion of coup attempt in Russia masked as copyright policing

On June 24, 2023, the Wagner Group mercenary force moved from the battlefield in Ukraine, where it served as an adjunct to the Russian military in the Special Military Operation in Ukraine, into Russia, stationing in Rostov-on-Don. From there, the force began a march to Moscow. The action was taken, according to the head of the mercenary force, to remedy what he called "corruption" which he claimed without providing particulars. The action eventually subsided after negotiations with the president of Belarus. At the time of the action by the mercenary force, NATO was deeply involved in an operation called "Air Defender 23" which was - and still ongoing - the largest aerial force deployment in the history following World War Two. Led by the same German air force that invaded the Soviet Union 82 years ago this past Thursday, causing ultimately some twenty-seven million Soviet (mostly Russian) deaths, the drill involved 250 aircraft and a core military force of 10,000 t...

RFK: Biden’s Foreign Policy? War.

Biden’s Foreign Policy? War. The Biden administration deliberately provoked the Ukraine war and is doing everything it can to keep it going. ROBERT F. KENNEDY, JR. JUN 20 Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a speech last Friday in Finland in which he dismissed the idea of a ceasefire in the Ukraine conflict and called for further transfers of high-tech weaponry and aircraft to Ukraine.  Blinken’s speech highlights once again that the Biden administration has no intention of ending this conflict peacefully. The plan, which members of the administration and foreign policy establishment have explicitly admitted on numerous occasions, is to use Ukraine to achieve the larger geopolitical goal of weakening Russia. In other words, the Ukrainians are cannon fodder in a U.S. proxy war against Russia. Blinken’s statement is consistent with reports in Foreign Affairs magazine last September citing numerous American former security officials that Russia and Ukraine had actually reach...

Last time, the US prosecuted Nazi propagandists as war criminals

Image
The Nuremberg precedent The role of propaganda and propagandists figured prominently at the Nuremberg war crimes tribunal, convened to render judgment on the Nazi leaders following World War II. The tribunal was an institution organized by the victorious Allied governments, serving in the final analysis the ruling classes of those countries. Nonetheless, in their arguments US prosecutors set forth a democratic legal principle derived from the international experience of a half-century of carnage: that planning and launching an aggressive war constituted a criminal act and that those who helped prepare such a war through their propaganda efforts were as culpable as those who drew up the battle plans or manufactured the munitions. The case made against Hans Fritzsche, one of the individuals chiefly responsible for Nazi newspaper and radio propaganda, is particularly significant. Fritzsche, born in Bochum, Westphalia in 1900, served in the German army in World War I and studied liberal ar...

These Congressional Lunatics Want WW III

The latest attempt to escalate in Ukraine has the public (UGLY) face of this "bi-partisan" group of Congress-critters: Jason Crow (D) Jason Crow is an American lawyer, veteran, and politician serving as the United States representative for Colorado's 6th congressional district since 2019. Mikie Sherrill (D) Rebecca Michelle "Mikie" Sherrill is an American politician, former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, attorney, and former federal prosecutor serving as the U.S. representative for New Jersey's 11th congressional district since 2019. The district includes a swath of suburban and exurban areas west of New York City. Jared Golden (D) Jared Forrest Golden is an American politician and a Marine Corps veteran serving as the U.S. representative for Maine's 2nd congressional district since 2019. Donald G. Davis (D) Donald Gene Davis is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for North Carolina's 1st congressional district since 2023. A member...

US moves closer to direct military exchange with Russia

So now Washington is aping the Luftwaffe - and bragging about it! Aside from the fact that this idiot has it upside down - like the rag he's published in does frequently - the very event described is a failed air raid, successfully defended against by the Russians. But consider this - if (it looks more like "when" than "if" at this point) these idiots try harder and take out some Russians in Moscow, there will certainly be a demand by the Russian people for their government to deliver swift and terrible retaliation. Not against Kiev - although that, too. Against US. American civilians. In American. And against civilians in the UK and European Union. Remember what the people here were like after 9/11? Biden is creating that mood in Russians. Don't listen to the assholes who promised 20 years ago that US soldiers "would be greeted with flowers" by Iraqis. Russians, like Iraqis, get righteously angry and fight back when attacked. Unlike Iraqis, Russi...
