Is Alaskan statehood illegitimate?

A question for those maniacs at the Helsinki Commission who think that Russia is an illegitimate empire of conquered lands that should be broken up into all of the constituent nations that existed before the 17th century:

Doesn't it follow that their title to Alaska was bad and that, consequently, Seward's purchase of it failed?

Doesn't that mean it does not belong to the United States?

And what does that mean in terms of the ownership of all that oil, and all of the oil monies that have been disbursed and that remain to be extracted?
